Job Overview

In this exciting role as an Admission and Discharge Registered Nurse at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience from admission to discharge. With a focus on delivering high-quality care and exceptional service, you will collaborate with the inpatient director to positively impact the patient's overall experience.

About the Job
  • You will assist with throughput by facilitating timely admissions and discharges, working closely with the care team to ensure a smooth transition of care.
  • As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will serve as a liaison between the patient and care team, assisting with coordinating discharge care and initiating patient teaching, admission education, and discharge planning.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to assess patients for needs and understanding of their care after discharge, ensuring they receive the necessary support and resources for a successful recovery.
What You'll Need
  • Nursing graduate with RN Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing required, BSN preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience
  • BLS certification
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license
