We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician to join our team at the Air National Guard Units. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our powered support systems.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and apply technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on powered support equipment, including cryogenic systems, engines, and generators.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in gas turbines, using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.
- Conduct classes to train maintenance personnel on operations, test procedures, and troubleshooting requirements of powered support equipment.
- Perform intermediate-level maintenance on powered support equipment and non-powered AGE, including engine rebuilding, valve replacement, and hydraulic system maintenance.
- Must have at least 18 months of experience or training in mechanical maintenance work, including experience with powered support equipment and systems.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory, as well as skill in the use of equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret parts lists, manufacturers' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
