Fleet Vehicle Technician

At Rural Metro, we are seeking a skilled Fleet Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a key member of our fleet operations, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on our fleet vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the reliability and safety of our vehicles, enabling us to provide exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
• Perform front-line mechanic inspections, preventive maintenance, and electrical repairs on both diesel and gasoline vehicles.
• Respond to vehicle breakdowns in the field when requested.
• Complete all required vehicle repair and maintenance paperwork and documentation using Rural Metro repair work orders and Rural Metro Fleet Maintenance Software (RTA).
• Respond promptly to road calls, accurately diagnose, and perform quality repairs.
• Thoroughly document vehicle repairs and maintenance, including a complete accounting of all labor hours, parts, and materials used.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Four years of verifiable experience as a Class C - Associate Mechanic, and automotive knowledge and skills necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on Company vehicles.
• ASE and/or EVT Certifications strongly preferred.
• Current and valid Arizona driver's license.
• Full set of personal tools needed to complete basic automotive repairs.
