About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at DuPont. As a key member of our maintenance and reliability team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our Process Safety Management (PSM)/MIQA and reliability programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement programs and systems to improve equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Champion foundational maintenance reliability programs, including alignment, balancing, lubrication, oil analysis, vibration analysis, and other related activities.
  • Apply engineering principles to perform failure analysis and conduct equipment performance evaluations.
  • Participate in DuPont maintenance and reliability networks to share best practices and learn from others.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to maintenance technicians and site embedded contractors on reliability and maintenance practices.
  • Support mechanical turn-around/shutdown teams and provide input on equipment inspection and repair procedures.
  • Analyze equipment trends and historical data to recommend improvements and justify cost savings.
  • Develop and improve maintenance strategies and spare part strategies to prevent failures and ensure production objectives.
  • Ensure processes are followed for updating equipment records and maintenance plans.
  • Support site capital projects by participating in equipment selection and specifications to optimize reliability and life cycle cost.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of reliability experience in a chemical or manufacturing facility.
  • Knowledge of building systems, including air handlers, exhaust fans, steam, process chilled water, vacuum, nitrogen, compressed air, and variable air flow valves.
Desirable Skills
  • Data analysis techniques and statistical interpretation skills.
  • Systematic decision making, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and implement multiple concurrent projects/initiatives.
  • Ability to build, lead, and work as a team member in a diverse work environment.
  • Project management, leadership, planning, and organization experience.
  • Advanced personal computer skills and maintenance systems knowledge (CMMS).
  • Six Sigma certification as either Black Belt or Green Belt.
  • Knowledge of PSM elements and principles, rotating equipment, alignment techniques, and ISO quality standards.
