This key leadership role will oversee day-to-day operations, including budget, staffing, and operating procedures, while providing strategic guidance and support to the Administration Team and Cabinet.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Chancellor in translating the District's vision into a clear action plan.
- Lead and empower teams to meet project deadlines and achieve strategic objectives.
- Identify critical areas requiring the attention of the Chancellor or senior executives.
- Understand the needs and concerns of complex workgroups and develop effective solutions.
- Analyze, interpret, and summarize complex data to inform decision-making.
- Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with senior executives, staff, and stakeholders.
- A master's degree in business or public administration, educational leadership, strategic leadership, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Seven (7) years of senior management experience, five (5) years of which includes leading and/or supervising staff in an academic setting.
- Desirable: A doctorate in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of collective bargaining and participatory governance processes, team building, project management, and collaborative goal development.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion, influence, explain, and negotiate with senior executives.
This is a Classified Management position with paid vacation and sick leave. The District provides a health and welfare benefit package.
