Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chancellor in translating the District's vision into a clear action plan.
  • Lead and empower teams to meet project deadlines and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Identify critical areas requiring the attention of the Chancellor or senior executives.
  • Understand the needs and concerns of complex workgroups and develop effective solutions.
  • Analyze, interpret, and summarize complex data to inform decision-making.
  • Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with senior executives, staff, and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in business or public administration, educational leadership, strategic leadership, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Seven (7) years of senior management experience, five (5) years of which includes leading and/or supervising staff in an academic setting.
  • Desirable: A doctorate in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of collective bargaining and participatory governance processes, team building, project management, and collaborative goal development.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion, influence, explain, and negotiate with senior executives.

This is a Classified Management position with paid vacation and sick leave. The District provides a health and welfare benefit package.
