Job Title: Laborer

At Engineering/Remediation Resources Group, Inc., we believe that our people are the key to our success. We are seeking a self-motivated and dependable Laborer to join our team.

Job Summary

The Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor at various construction sites, including earthwork and demolition projects. The ideal candidate will be able to operate hand and power tools, clean and prepare sites, and assist other craft workers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform physical labor tasks at construction sites, including earthwork and demolition projects.
  • Operate hand and power tools, including air hammers, earth tampers, and cement mixers.
  • Clean and prepare construction sites, including digging trenches and backfilling excavations.
  • Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones.
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
  • Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Build and position forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • One year of industry-related experience.
  • Ability to operate construction tools.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 100% of shift.
  • Pass drug test and background check.
  • Dependable transportation and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel to project sites, as needed.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and 8-Hour HAZWOPER refresher.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on environmental remediation construction projects.
