Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laborer - Landscaping Specialist to join our team at Monarch Landscape Companies Defunct. As a key member of our landscaping crew, you will be responsible for maintaining commercial landscapes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the maintenance of job sites as instructed by Foremen, including tasks such as mowing, raking, weeding, shearing, edging, and hand pruning.
  • Operate a variety of equipment safely and efficiently, including 21 and 36 mowers, power hedge shears, power shears, backpack blowers, and aerators.
  • Develop a basic understanding of plant identification and apply hand pruning skills to maintain high-quality landscapes.
  • Operate all vehicles and equipment in accordance with Monarch Safety Policy and adhere to the company's code of conduct at all times.
  • Meet attendance and productivity expectations, adhering to company dress code policy and inclement weather policy.
Requirements
  • Commercial landscape experience preferred, but not required.
  • Valid Driver's License issued from the state of employment, preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Foremen and team members.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Strong commitment to high-quality work and customer service.
  • Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely manner.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out tasks.
  • Deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Working Conditions
  • Frequently works with mechanical objects and outside in all weather conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Frequently exposed to loud noise levels.
