Director of Operations Job Description

At First Watch Restaurants, we're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the success of our operations across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead operational activities for a group of First Watch Restaurants, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and best practices.
  • Develop and train General Managers and Operations Managers to build and maintain successful teams.
  • Monitor and improve sales, profitability, and employee satisfaction across all locations.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a safe and harassment-free workplace in all restaurants.
  • Develop and implement effective manpower planning and recruitment strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Training General Manager to monitor progress and provide feedback.
  • Develop and manage budgets, including capital investments and General and Administrative expenses.
  • Promote First Watch outside the restaurant, building relationships and partnerships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in food and beverage, business, marketing, or management.
  • Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit restaurant industry operations.
  • Proven track record of achieving results and building successful teams.
  • Passion for providing excellent service and quality.
  • Ability to partner and build relationships while demonstrating leadership and integrity.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry principles, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
