About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Expert Instructor for HR Leadership Development to join our team at DeVry University. As a Visiting Professor, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Human Resource Management.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is based on degree, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location. Pay may vary from $1500-$2700 per 8-week session, or $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour in certain states (AZ, CA, IN, PA). About the Job

As a Visiting Professor, you will be responsible for developing and providing students with an approved syllabus that meets DeVry University standards. You will also organize, prepare, and revise course materials regularly, using appropriate technological options for online discussions and course-related software. Effective communication skills are essential for this role, as you will need to model oral and written communications that engage students, provide clarity, and improve learning outcomes. Additionally, you will set clear expectations for the course by publishing terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weight distribution of evaluation categories.

Qualifications and Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess a terminal degree (PhD, DBA, JD, Ed.D.) and relevant subject matter expertise. Outstanding communication and motivational skills are also required, along with the ability to work in a collegial manner and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups. Faculty members are expected to have excellent instructional skills in a non-traditional environment and be able to adapt to changing circumstances.
