At Mustang Creek Estates, we recognize that engaging activities are essential for fostering a nurturing, affectionate, and enriching atmosphere for our residents.
The Activities Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Activities Director in the design and execution of programs that promote optimal mental, physical, and social health within our memory care facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
The following tasks are typical for this role, with additional duties as assigned:
- Develop and facilitate three to four suitable activities daily, tailored to the interests and needs of residents, while considering available staff.
- Prepare the monthly activity schedule, ensuring it undergoes the necessary approval process before distribution to residents.
- Conduct large group, small group, and individual events aimed at providing companionship, sensory engagement, cognitive stimulation, and reality orientation.
- Communicate any changes in scheduled activities to residents and staff promptly.
- Organize transportation for events as needed.
- Continuously assess the quality and participation of programs through surveys and direct feedback from residents and their families.
- Assist residents in traveling to and from activities or events.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in assisted living or memory care activities is required.
Work Schedule:
This is a Full-Time position, Monday through Friday, with a flexible schedule that may include occasional weekend shifts.
