Nursery Caregiver Job Summary

The Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth seeks a qualified Nursery Caregiver to provide safe and nurturing care for children ages 18 months through 4 years while their parents attend Mass. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe and clean environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Diaper and assist children with toilet use, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, children, and parish staff, responding to their needs and concerns.
  • Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned by the Nursery Coordinator.

Working Conditions:
  • Weekend hours between 7:30 am and 2:30 pm, with the possibility of additional parish functions.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.

Requirements:
  • Active, practicing member of the Catholic Church in good standing.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Successful completion of Safe Environment training, including background checks.
  • First aid and CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of all ages.
  • Ability to work with and coordinate activities with staff and volunteers.
