Bilingual Program Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Program Manager to join our team at UL. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading large-scale, distributed/complex projects with multiple parallel threads of work.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with engineering and laboratory teams to execute large, long-term battery projects.
- Act as front-line contact on program-related activities, issues, and risks, and manage risks and issues, taking corrective measurements.
- Provide overall leadership and support to one or more project teams.
- Partner with purchasing to develop POs and manage suppliers and vendor relationships.
- Manage internal and external stakeholder communication.
- Proactively engage with Sales to establish future projects/programs.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Lab to plan the overall program and monitor progress, performing daily program management throughout the program life cycle.
- Manage the program's budget and financial performance.
- Coordinate projects and their interdependencies.
- Manage and utilize resources across projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business required; advanced degree preferred or relevant role experience.
- PMP and/or Agile certifications preferred.
- Bilingual in Korean and English required.
- Over ten years of project management experience running large-scale, distributed/complex projects with multiple parallel threads of work.
- Large-scale battery module and pack testing or development experience preferred.
- Experience developing, evaluating, and submitting business cases for major capital investments.
- Experience with cross-geographical project coordination and management.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, technical and business acumen, and industry knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally.
- Ability to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Ability to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks required to lead change.
- Ability to make decisions independently and assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills.
- Ability to innovate under new and/or changing conditions.
