Machinist - Precision Parts Specialist

Air Draulic Engineering is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in Randolph, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience operating and repairing a variety of machines and mechanical instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
- Modify parts and materials to improve overall production
- Test completed equipment to detect and remove defects
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
- Determine sequence of operations by studying specifications and work orders.
- Prepare machine for production by positioning and securing dies, stops, guides, and turntables.
- Regulate machining by setting and adjusting controls.
- Produce parts by locating and marking reference points on workpiece with rule, compass, template, etc.; positioning or aligning workpiece against stops and guides or with die; operating equipment.
- Maintain specifications by observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts; adjusting controls; replacing dies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in machinery or other related fields
- Think and work independently.
- Familiarity machine tools and equipment
- Be quality conscious, have strong trouble-shooting skills and be willing to work overtime.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
