We are currently seeking a machinist to join our team and work in our fast paced manufacturing facility. The machinist has to have the capability to comprehend drawings and follow verbal instruction to accomplish the task at hand. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, and should possess the following, but not limited to: You will operate and repair a variety of machines and mechanical instruments.

Responsibilities:

• Operate machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
• Modify parts and materials to improve overall production
• Test completed equipment to detect and remove defects
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery
• Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments
• Determine sequence of operations by studying specifications and work orders.
• Prepare machine for production by positioning and securing dies, stops, guides, and turntables.
• Regulate machining by setting and adjusting controls.
• Produce parts by locating and marking reference points on workpiece with rule, compass, template, etc.; positioning or aligning workpiece against stops and guides or with die; operating equipment.
• Maintain specifications by observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts; adjusting controls; replacing dies.

• Previous experience in machinery or other related fields
• Think and work independently.
• Familiarity machine tools and equipment
• Be quality conscious, have strong trouble-shooting skills and be willing to work overtime.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Strong attention to detail
