Position Summary:
The Patient Services Coordinator is essential in managing patient interactions and scheduling appointments. This role involves engaging with patients through various communication channels, ensuring a seamless experience from the first point of contact.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet patients and visitors warmly, whether in person or over the phone.

2. Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address general inquiries.

3. Utilize electronic systems to access patient information and manage scheduling efficiently.

4. Ensure a smooth registration process for patients, preparing them for their visits.

5. Communicate any changes, cancellations, or delays to the appropriate team members.

6. Provide support to patients by answering questions and maintaining an organized reception area.

7. Input detailed patient information accurately into electronic records, ensuring confidentiality and security.

8. Explain financial responsibilities to patients and assist with payment inquiries.

9. Follow up with patients who miss appointments and gather feedback on their experiences.

10. Maintain filing systems and manage correspondence efficiently.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- At least one year of experience in a medical receptionist or customer service role.

- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and electronic recordkeeping.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

- Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in a healthcare call center.

- Knowledge of electronic scheduling systems and medical records.

Work Environment:
- This role is performed in a healthcare office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting and effective communication with patients and staff.
