Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Litigation and Recovery Portfolio Manager. This role will be responsible for collecting portfolio delinquencies and secondary recovery delinquencies, as well as coordinating repossessions and collaborating with outside counsel on bankruptcies and litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collection of assigned portfolios through effective communication with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Collaboration with outside counsel on assigned bankruptcies and litigation accounts, including managing legal firms and directing their performance.
  • Monitoring and implementing appropriate actions in bankruptcy cases, including evaluating plan treatment, valuation, and filing proof of claim forms.
  • Interface with collections, asset management, upper management, and other relevant parties to determine and take appropriate action on customer accounts.
  • Managing processing outside counsel legal bills and monitoring trustee payments and applications to the appropriate account and contract.
  • Developing and presenting a vision for legal accounts to senior management, including improvement and success driven by this position.
  • Coordination and monitoring of repossessions.
  • Negotiation of restructures and follow-up for payments.
  • Work with outside collection agencies on secondary recoveries.
  • Work within management-provided authority levels.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 7-10 years of collection experience.
  • 5-7 years of commercial leasing experience.
