Position Overview:

The Clinical Nutrition Specialist I plays a crucial role in evaluating the dietary needs of patients by utilizing established assessment tools. This position involves advising and guiding patients, their families, and caregivers on tailored nutrition strategies aimed at enhancing the management of various health conditions. The specialist will engage with a diverse patient demographic, including those requiring more intricate care, under the guidance of a Clinical Nutrition Specialist II or Clinical Nutrition Lead.

Compensation:

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on institutional policy. Your placement within the salary range is influenced by several factors, including your professional experience and internal equity within this classification at the University of California. For positions represented by a labor union, salary placement will adhere to the collective bargaining agreement guidelines.

Salary Range: $56.90 (Hourly Rate)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with completion of an accredited dietitian program (ACEND - Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition Dietetics).

  • Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). State licensure in specific states is required.
