Job Description

Verbatim Americas is seeking a skilled Product Development Assistant to support the development and launch of accessories, data storage, and other products. This role involves collaborating with global team members and vendors to gather product information, analyzing sales trends, and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of assigned product lines, sales channels, and markets.
  • Collect and summarize product information from global teams and vendors, including data/market intelligence, product reviews, and end-user feedback.
  • Compile data on cost trends, sales trends, inventory levels, and market pricing comparisons.
  • Interface with sales and marketing departments to provide product-related information, including benefits, features, specifications, and market standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance as needed.
  • Analyze forecast information from sales representatives and perform analysis of stock levels and sell-through.
  • Respond to daily/weekly communications in a timely and effective manner.
  • Support special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • At least two years of related work experience in a technical environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Consumer electronics experience/knowledge a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to understand the basic technical features of each product and how they work.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
