Position Summary: The Lease Operator plays a crucial role in the oil and gas sector, acting as the main operator tasked with ensuring the effective and secure operation of oil and gas wells along with their associated machinery. This position is vital for sustaining continuous hydrocarbon output while complying with strict safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately measure and document production volumes of oil, water, and gas.
  • Promptly identify and report any discrepancies in production figures.
  • Monitor equipment functionality to guarantee optimal performance and condition.
  • Meticulously record meter readings, pressures, and production data for detailed reporting.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues requiring additional support to the supervisor without delay.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks and uphold cleanliness standards to ensure a well-kept facility.
  • Conduct all operations in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, following established protocols and regulations.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations or call-outs as necessary.
  • Diligently maintain treatment schedules, well testing schedules, and preventative maintenance plans.
  • Ensure precise maintenance of all records required by regulatory authorities.
  • Carry out equipment repairs as needed, demonstrating adept troubleshooting skills.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility to meet operational standards.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned, leveraging experience and expertise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the oilfield industry.
  • Knowledge of oilfield insulation and tin fabrication.
  • Experience in oilfield carpentry.
  • Must pass a drug screening, MVR check, and background investigation in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
  • 2 years of experience in oilfield insulation and tin fabrication.
  • 2 years of experience in oilfield carpentry.
  • 2 years of experience insulating and fabricating tin for tanks and vessels.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods unassisted. The incumbent must wear a respirator when required. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate industrial machinery are necessary. This position also requires a full range of body motion, including handling and lifting. The incumbent must be able to repeatedly lift and/or move up to 65 pounds unassisted. Visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing must be adequate to perform all required tasks safely.
