The Roustabout Crew Pusher is accountable for directing a team of roustabouts in executing a variety of oilfield services, which encompass new well development, upkeep, and other related tasks. The role involves the utilization of diverse equipment, including but not limited to tractors, trucks, trailers, and maintenance tools. This position provides practical guidance to roustabout laborers and ensures optimal job performance by effectively managing the crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the assigned roustabout crew.
  • Deliver continuous training, supervision, and professional growth for roustabouts, ensuring maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Facilitate transportation to and from job sites as required, utilizing company vehicles and trailers, which may necessitate a commercial driver's license.
  • Maintain and inspect company vehicles and equipment in collaboration with mechanics and supervisors.
  • Safely transport necessary equipment for job execution, adhering to company policies and DOT regulations.
  • Ensure the crew is equipped with all essential safety and work gear, conducting regular inspections and maintenance for safe operation.
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis and Pre-Job Safety Meetings to identify potential hazards before commencing work.
  • Complete and submit Field Tickets or other documentation reflecting crew work hours.
  • Maintain effective communication with field management regarding job progress, hazards, and crew needs.
  • Adhere to all company and location safety and DOT policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Supervise roustabout laborers to promote skill development and safety.
  • Set up and maintain pumping units, batteries, and treaters.
  • Diagnose equipment issues to ensure proper functionality.
  • Efficiently coordinate equipment for consecutive jobs as requested by clients.
  • Deliver quality products and services to clients.
  • Possess knowledge of equipment and tools used in the oil and gas sector.
  • Basic mathematical skills for standard calculations.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and motivation in completing assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Safely operate all vehicles and equipment related to roustabout duties.
  • Proficient in using computers and software, including Microsoft Office and timekeeping programs.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues, managers, and other relevant parties.

Education and Experience:

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a roustabout role.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Pass a drug screening, MVR check, and background check as per applicable regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a roustabout capacity.
  • Valid Class A CDL.

Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, and perform various physical activities for extended periods. The incumbent must be capable of lifting and moving up to 65 pounds unassisted and must possess the dexterity to operate industrial machinery safely.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically loud, with outdoor settings and exposure to various weather conditions. The role may involve working around electricity, moving machinery, and hazardous materials, requiring long hours and occasional weekend shifts.
