Job Summary

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth and expansion through strategic sales and marketing initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of the manufacturing and distribution industry, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute short and long-term sales plans to drive business growth and expansion
  • Maintain existing sales and attract new prospects through networking, cold calling, and advertising
  • Create and present customized proposals to clients, highlighting ABM's solutions and services
  • Research and analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to inform sales strategies
  • Collaborate with operations, marketing, and technical staff to develop and execute sales plans
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet sales targets
  • Manage and maintain a database of prospective clients and sales leads using Salesforce
  • Effectively manage assigned budget and resources to achieve sales goals
  • Support company-wide marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Monitor bid schedules and stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor activity
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in business development and sales
  • Bachelor's degree or significant related experience
  • Strong understanding of the manufacturing and distribution industry
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and expansion through sales and marketing initiatives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with facility engineering solutions sales
  • Relevant and immediate sales contacts within the territory
  • Ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce
  • Strength in writing and presenting compelling sales proposals
  • Well-organized and able to handle multiple proposals and processes simultaneously
