Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in the management of financial and budget execution matters for the College of Health and Human Development.
  • Maintain sound financial operations across multiple fund types through internal controls and financial and budgetary stewardship.
  • Provide service to the Dean in meeting the unit's vision and goals through strategic analysis, process improvement, and policy/procedural development.
  • Manage financial systems, including regular financial analysis and reporting, management of all funds, and coordination of internal audits and risk assessments.
  • Serve as the liaison to central University offices in the areas of budget, finance, payroll, risk management, purchasing, and others as needed.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and train assigned staff.
Requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge in financial and budget management, analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with enterprise systems technologies and products such as SAP S/4HANA, Concur, Workday, Oracle BI, and MS Office.
  • High degree of self-direction, including the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines at short notice.
  • Strong leadership skills, the ability to lead and manage teams, and a strong commitment to inclusionary practices.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence a variety of people to achieve results.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with research administration.
  • Successful completion of a credit history check.
