Outpatient UM Team Coordinator

The Outpatient UM Team Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining efficient communication channels between our team and Health Plan personnel. By overseeing referral requests delegated to the Health Plans, this role ensures timely decision-making and facilitates collaboration.
Key Accountabilities- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with OP UM nurses and coordinators to identify Health Plan delegated decisions
- Process and submit Health Plan service request forms via various channels
- Evaluate and enhance the completeness of sent requests to ensure inclusion of necessary clinical and member information
- Maintain strict adherence to regulatory requirements for timeliness
- Establish and nurture working relationships with provider offices to obtain essential member information
- Follow up with Health Plans to secure updates on outstanding requests
- Record and update authorization status and Health Plan decisions within EZ CAP database
- Offer support to Client Support Center during peak call periods
- Contribute to optimizing workflow efficiency by collaborating with team members
$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
