Job Summary:
The Medical Support Coordinator will provide effective communication between data entry teams, IPA teams, providers, and members to ensure timely accessible care and services. This role will work closely with the Compliance team to prepare for audits and adhere to MedPOINT Management's company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sorts and reassigns incoming faxes to the right department
  • Labels incoming faxes with member names
  • Attaches incoming medical records to the EZCAP database
  • Outreaches provider offices for additional information according to CMS or State guidelines
  • Assists providers in referral submission
  • Alerts clinicians when medical records are complete
  • Assists in collecting data for UM audits
  • Answers UM phone calls
  • Regular attendance at UM meetings
  • Assists in special projects as needed

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in the medical field
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in EZ CAP a plus

Estimated Salary:$45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
