Job Title: Senior Auditor

About the Role:
Smith Marion & Co. is seeking a skilled Senior Auditor to lead audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. As a Senior Auditor, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage audit engagements from start to finish.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, assess risks, and develop audit strategies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior auditors and staff members.
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to resolve any audit-related issues.

Requirements:
  • BS or Master's in Accounting.
  • CPA certification (or in progress).
  • 2-4 years of experience in public accounting or auditing.
  • Availability to travel out of town and overnight.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, GAAP, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Able to problem solve and think both creatively and logically.
