Job Summary:

INTEGRIS Health, a leading healthcare provider in Oklahoma, is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at the Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, OK. As a key member of our Pulmonary Medicine team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our caregivers.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer a wide range of therapeutic services and diagnostic tests to various patient types, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Set up and maintain all necessary equipment and supplies, providing assistance to physicians during special procedures.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and re-assessments of patient history, chest x-rays, vital signs, blood gases, and progress notes to determine appropriate therapy modalities and communicate findings to physicians.
  • Perform arterial punctures and blood gas analysis for arterial blood gases, as well as intubation when necessary and approved by the medical staff.
  • Provide onboarding education to new departmental staff and assist students rotating through the hospital.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Registry Eligible Respiratory Therapy School.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, with 12 months to become registered.
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License issued by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision (OSBMLS).
  • Requires 1 year full-time experience in respiratory care or 1 recent year of a hands-on clinical practicum in an accredited respiratory care program.
  • Must be an RRT and Conscious Sedation Certified before participating in IV Conscious Sedation procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Written/Verbal).

Moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, chemicals. Potential for bodily injury related to lifting and incidents of workplace violence. Must follow universal safety precautions. Exposed to constant interruptions, noise, disagreeable odors, and assorted chemicals. May have multiple floors assigned per shift. May be required to be on call status.
