Eliot is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Family Support Worker to provide in-person support and assistance to families receiving services at our Family Resource Center.
Responsibilities:- Conduct intake assessments with FRC-approved tools and screening measures
- Ensure that family support plans are culturally sensitive and strengths-based, reflecting identified needs and preferences
- Develop and execute creative interventions to support individuals and/or families
- Conduct workshops or groups as assigned
- Respond to requests from families and community stakeholders
- Develop and maintain community partnerships to enhance services
- Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff to support the resolution of administrative issues related to the operation of the program
- Bachelor's degree in social work or related field with one (1) year experience working with youth and families
- Strong ability to effectively engage and support individuals and families from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds
- Ability to conduct a comprehensive assessment of a family system and refer for services that coincide with identified needs and preferences
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Working knowledge of continuums of services in Everett and surrounding communities
- Ability to make meaningful contributions to the Family Resource Center's mission
- Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications
- Ability to consistently meet all necessary background and credentialing requirements
- Must have valid drivers license and reliable transportation to and from work and for providing services in the community
- Must have strong ability to develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with clients, staff, co-workers, supervisor, and community stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultural groups
$21.48/hour
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and receive a 6% differential: $22.77/hour
Hours:Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
