Job Summary:

The Community Health Center of Snohomish County is seeking a skilled Physician to join our team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, working in a team environment with other healthcare providers and support staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic medical services to patients, making sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
  • Obtain complete medical history and physical data from patients, interpreting and integrating data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as needed, interviewing and advising patients regarding health and illness prevention.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions, promoting medical care through direct patient care and education.
  • Identify special needs of patients and work with staff to address those needs, participating in Quality Improvement and Utilization Management programs and activities.
  • Document encounters in an accurate and timely manner, adhering to attendance standards to perform job functions for daily operations and/or continuity of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.
  • Board eligible/Board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.
  • DEA controlled substances registration, hospital privileges, and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a multiple provider medical practice, working with low-income, multi-ethnic populations.
  • CPT-4 coding experience, ICD-10 coding experience, and healthcare information systems experience.
