Job Summary:

Eliot is seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to provide in-person support and assistance to families receiving services at our Family Resource Center.

The ideal candidate will conduct intake assessments, design creative workshops, and develop family support plans to ensure continued success.

Individuals with a bachelor's degree in social work or experience working with youth and families are strongly encouraged to apply.

Our Family Resource Center is part of a statewide network of community-based programs offering multi-cultural parenting programs, support groups, early childhood services, and information and referral resources.

We aim to support families in strengthening their bonds, connecting with others, and engaging in their community.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments with FRC-approved tools and screening measures.
  • Ensure family support plans are culturally sensitive and reflect identified needs and preferences.
  • Develop and execute creative interventions to support individuals and families.
  • Conduct workshops or groups as assigned.
  • Respond to requests from families and community stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain community partnerships to enhance services.
  • Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff to support the resolution of administrative issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field with one year of experience working with youth and families.
  • Strong ability to engage and support individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and refer for services.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of continuums of services in Everett and surrounding communities.
  • Ability to make meaningful contributions to the Family Resource Center's mission.
  • Computer literacy and skill in using computers and related software applications.
  • Ability to consistently meet background and credentialing requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Compensation:

$21.48/hour. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and receive a 6% differential ($22.77/hour).

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
