We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Specialist I to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to children and adolescents with complex behavioral health needs.
Responsibilities- Provide Trauma-Informed care to patients and families, promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, utilizing physical intervention skills as needed.
- Collect and document patient data, including vital signs, temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.
- Provide basic supportive care, including hygiene, bed making, and mobility assistance.
- Participate in unit conferences and quality improvement activities.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- CPR training (American Heart Association CPR for Family and Friends) course or Health Care Provider course or Red Cross equivalent.
- Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Neat appearance, good grooming, and professional manner.
