Job Title: Bay Area Water Heater Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Water Heater Technician to join our team at Benrich Service Company Inc. As a Water Heater Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and emergency repairs on boilers and water heaters, as well as troubleshooting and diagnosing issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive to customer sites and perform maintenance and emergency repairs on boilers and water heaters.
  • Repair/replace water/gas piping.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose emergency repairs for boilers and water heaters.
  • Complete all necessary repairs on customer job sites.
  • Repair/replace 30 to 200-gallon water heaters.
  • Flush/repair/replace 30 to 200-gallon storage tanks.
  • Complete leak repairs on copper pipe.
  • Participate in the installation of new boilers.
  • Communicate with dispatchers regarding job status.

Requirements:

  • Currently have and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • A strong team-player with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to accept written and verbal direction from supervisors and dispatchers.
  • Must be physically able to perform all necessary job responsibilities.
  • Valid CA driver's license with a good driving record. Must sustain insurable status with company's auto insurance carrier while employed.
  • Must be 21+ years of age to be insurable by the company's auto insurance carrier.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs (as needed).
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening process, clear criminal background check, and pass E-Verify screening prior to hiring.

Benefits:

  • Annual pay $65k to $125k, based on experience.
  • Core work period is Monday – Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm + some OT.
  • Service truck, insurance, and fuel costs provided after completion of training period (for company use only).
  • Flexible paid PTO (range 96 hrs. to 176 hrs. each year).
  • 9 paid holidays.
