Position Overview

This role is eligible for a $1,500 Sign-On Bonus.

At Ebenezer-Lake City Care Center TCU LTC, we provide a comprehensive benefits package with competitive wages.

Shift differentials of $1.00 for evenings and $1.50 for nights are offered.


We are looking for a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA/NAR) to assist our adult residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility. This position involves delivering direct care and support services to residents in our long-term care unit and young adult-geriatric transitional care unit.


The work schedule includes:

- 48 hours over two weeks
- Evening shifts
- Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday rotations

Key Responsibilities

- Assist residents according to their individual care plans with personal care tasks such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, and responding to call lights.
- Nursing Assistants may check and document vital signs as per community patient care protocols.
- Provide morning and evening care, including peri care and catheter care.
- Assist in turning, lifting, or transferring residents with or without mechanical support.
- Observe residents and communicate their status to appropriate staff clearly and concisely.
- Document in the electronic medical record system.
- Address resident and family concerns effectively.
- Exchange reports with staff during various shifts.
- Maintain order and cleanliness in resident rooms and work areas, report malfunctioning equipment, and answer phones promptly.
Qualifications

Required:
- Active status on the MN Nursing Assistant registry by the start date.
- If enrolled in the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program, a 4-month grace period from the hire date is granted to achieve active status on the MN Nursing Assistant registry.

Preferred:
- Ability to work with a diverse geriatric population.
- Strong communication skills with empathy and understanding for residents and colleagues.
- Experience as a Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Nursing Assistant (NA), or Resident Assistant.
- Background in customer service settings.
