Job Summary

The Home Health Aide/CNA is a vital member of our care team at Maplewood Manor, responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents. As a Home Health Aide/CNA, you will work under the supervision of our licensed nurses to deliver resident care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Care: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, walking, toileting, bed mobility, behavior, and treatment in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications, including oral, suppository, eye drops, inhalant, topical, and administered through a Gastrostomy tube, as instructed by a Registered Nurse.
  • Documentation: Accurately and honestly document resident care, including ADLs, skin observations, and other relevant information.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff members to achieve our goal of providing exceptional care and service to our residents.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Meet and maintain State requirements of a certified home health aide.
  • Experience: Experience working in a long-term care setting is favored.
  • Skills: Possess a level of knowledge normally required in the course of obtaining a high school diploma, with the ability to work effectively with general supervision and organize and manage own workload in a busy environment.
