At Ebenezer-Lake City Care Center TCU LTC, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and competitive wages starting at $ / hour.

Shift differentials are available: $1.00 for evening shifts and $1.50 for night shifts.

We are currently looking for a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to provide essential support to our adult residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility located in Lake City, MN. This position involves delivering hands-on care and support services to our long-term care unit residents and young adult-geriatric Transitional care unit patients.

Schedule Details:

  • 48 hours over a two-week period
  • Evening shifts
  • Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday rotations
  • Full benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, matching retirement contributions, college education scholarships, and wellness reimbursement programs
  • Reimbursement for prior costs incurred to take a CNA course/state NA exams, applicable for first-time requests

Lake City Care Center operates under the Mayo Clinic Health System, with daily operations managed by Ebenezer. Our vibrant and welcoming Long Term and Transitional Care Center is home to as many as 90 residents at any given time. Our facility is conveniently connected to a Mayo clinic and hospital, ensuring residents have access to clinic appointments and emergency care without leaving the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents according to their individual care plans with personal care tasks, including bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, and responding to call lights.
  • Perform vital checks and record observations as per community patient care protocols.
  • Provide AM/PM care, including peri care and catheter care.
  • Assist in turning, lifting, or transferring residents with or without mechanical assistance.
  • Monitor residents and report any changes in their condition to the appropriate staff clearly and concisely.
  • Document care and observations in the electronic medical record system.
  • Address resident and family concerns proactively.
  • Communicate effectively with staff during shift changes.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in resident rooms and work areas, report equipment malfunctions, and answer phones promptly.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Active status on the MN Nursing Assistant registry by the start date.
  • If enrolled in the Ebenezer Nursing Assistant Training program, a 4-month grace period from the hire date is granted to achieve active status on the MN Nursing Assistant registry.
Preferred:
  • Experience working with a diverse and geriatric population.
  • Strong communication skills with empathy and understanding for residents and colleagues.
  • Prior experience as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, or Resident Assistant.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
