Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at US Staffing Agency. As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products and services, and for implementing and maintaining our quality management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the ISO 9001:2015 Quality System and participate in audits to ensure compliance.
  • Train new employees in quality processes and first-piece inspection to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Conduct layouts and qualify dies for production, and perform PPAPs to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Administer document control systems, purge old documents, and enter new Work Instructions, SOPs, and workbooks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct monthly gauge calibration testing and annual thread gauge, pin gauge, go/no-go gauge, micrometer, and caliper calibrations to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Check production parts using CMM technology to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Verify raw material quality against 30 elements using Mass Spectrometer technology to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Operate lathe and saw to reface coupons and check parts for porosity to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot quality issues by working with Quality and Production managers to ensure timely resolution.
Requirements
  • Basic Math skills required.
  • Strive to improve processes to increase production and improve quality continually.
  • Shall continually attend training to keep up with technology and safety requirements.
  • Ensure and adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to constantly improve, and lead others to do the same.
  • Must be willing to embrace new technology and change.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand written directives.
  • Must have an excellent attendance record.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in Quality Control/Assurance, including ISO 9002.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and product specifications.
  • Must be able to analyze and solve problems.
  • PC-based computing expertise, Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.
  • Michigan Driver's License is required.
  • Tool Experience Helpful: Brown and Sharpe, FN106 CMM Machine, 380A Mass Spectrometer, calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, thread gauges, go/no-go gauges, lathe, saw, and smooth-ness gauges.
  • Background Requirements: (clean/no felonies).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality Control or related field, (Preferred).
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Certification Required: None.
