Job Title: Quality Manager

Performance Hydroforming LLC. is a Michigan-based aerospace manufacturing company seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Quality Manager to develop, implement, and manage our AS9100/ISO9001:2015 quality management system. The successful candidate will perform production quality inspections using state-of-the-art equipment and software, and collaborate with the Quality Department on other necessary projects and customer quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections of products and documentation requirements prior to shipment using calipers, micrometers, height gages, and laser scanning.
  • Process laser scans with Polyworks software and create programs for new inspections.
  • Abide by all Company policies, including Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Technique Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in performing capability studies, gauge R&R, SPC, flow charts, and histograms.
  • Prepare and submit customer required documentation in a timely manner, including First Article inspection, PPAP, certificate of conformance completion, and ongoing data required reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Department on other necessary projects and customer quality requirements.
  • Develop welded assemblies and work with the Engineering and Quality departments to design check fixtures or aids to improve the manufacturing process.
  • Verify the reporting software is applicable for the job and is in the correct customer requested format.
  • Propose good solutions to potential issues relating to fixture and measurement process as necessary.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to adjust fixtures and processes when needed to improve part quality.
  • Prepare and submit PPAP and monthly review and reporting of customer scorecards.
  • Perform audits to ensure that all quality control processes are being followed and ensures findings are effectively corrected and independently verified.
  • Process and complete various online customer portal activities.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA and implementation of corrective action plans necessary for this position.
  • Coordinate customer source inspections and make recommendations based on inspections to remove root causes of non-conformance.
  • Implement and maintain comprehensive quality control for targeted customer programs.
  • Embrace the challenge of problem solving, identifying and implementing practical solutions.
  • Professionally represent the company when interacting with customer representatives.
  • Track inventory for outsourced goods and components needed.
Requirements:
  • Strong to advanced knowledge of GD&T.
  • Knowledge of quality, manufacturing, and inventory software, knowledge of Design software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
