Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Integration and Test Specialist to join our integrated contractor team. This role involves supporting high-fidelity modeling of advanced defense systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in hands-on support for distributed software threat simulations utilized in the testing and training of tactical systems.
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of M&S software, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of anomalies and defects.
  • Provide technical support during various activities related to defense simulations.
  • Adhere to established processes and procedures, participate in document reviews, and collaborate with team members.
Daily Activities:
  • Participate in a team that develops and implements integration processes.
  • Serve as a Test Engineer and act as a technical representative as required.
  • Ensure consistent testing processes across M&S environments.
  • Draft technical instructions, test plans, and system integration documents.
  • Identify and assist in resolving enterprise-level system issues.
  • Develop, integrate, and test defense scenarios and test cases.
  • Troubleshoot simulation software components.
  • Design, develop, and maintain analysis software tools.
  • Create and manage user accounts and perform hardware/software/network integration.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline, along with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant software integration experience. A solid understanding of advanced defense systems is essential.

Required Skills:
  • Proficient in Linux operating systems or other Unix variants.
  • Experience with Python, Perl, or Bash/Shell scripting languages.
  • Basic knowledge of C++, Java, or other programming languages.
  • Experience in developing test plans and integration objectives.
  • Ability to define system scope and objectives based on user needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with hardware/software/network integration.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software defects.
  • Background in Ballistic Missile Defense programs.
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+ and Linux+.
Work Environment:

This position requires a commitment to a regular schedule, with on-site responsibilities. Candidates must be able to collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to various project needs.
