Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for taking x-ray exposures of patients, explaining procedures, and ensuring patient safety. Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets patients, confirms image requirements, and explains x-ray procedures to ensure patient understanding and comfort.
  • Reviews patient medical history and confirms consent for contrast media procedures.
  • Takes x-ray exposures following established protocols for radiation safety and image quality.
  • Processes and inspects images to ensure they meet radiologist requirements.
  • Maintains equipment, examination rooms, and inventory of related supplies.
  • Prepares patient information files and submits reports on x-ray procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by management.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Completion of formal training in radiologic technology.
  • Radiologic Technologist License (Virginia) and Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to stand, walk, bend, lift at least 50 pounds, hear, speak, and see.
  • Proficiency in applicable computer software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as a radiologic technologist, including on-the-job training and internships.
Work Environment:
