Job Title: Radiology Technologist

Howard University Hospital is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiologic procedures to diagnose diseases and injuries, evaluating the technical quality of radiographs, and providing procedural-related patient care and education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment to provide high-quality images for patient diagnosis.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures and follow established patient care and safety guidelines.
  • Use appropriate technique and shielding combination to obtain optimal images while adhering to ALARA principles.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and scanner to ensure equipment is running smoothly to avoid downtime.
  • Assure that all work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
  • Reports all safety hazards that could harm patients, visitors, or other hospital employees or supervisors immediately at all times.
Requirements:
  • Must be a Registered Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support Card/BLS.
