About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HFC Engineer to join our Telecommunications team. As an HFC Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) networks to deliver high-speed broadband services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create network architectures that ensure the efficient integration of fiber and coaxial components to meet performance and reliability standards.
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets to determine serving boundaries, feeder routes, distribution routes, and drops to premises.
  • Determine fiber and coax component allocations and review field staking sheets, as-Builts, and field-collected data to determine the optimal running line and construction method.
  • Analyze aerial imagery and general maps to identify existing utilities or potential obstructions and produce high-quality constructible plan sets using GIS-based software.
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
  • Ability to read, interpret, create maps and plan sets, and edit and create PDF documents.
  • Associate's/bachelor's degree in engineering/design or equivalent work experience.
  • General knowledge in OSP construction methods and best practices.
  • 3-6 years of Coax/HFC design experience.
  • General knowledge of HFC, DOCSIS, and FTTx networks.
  • Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Software products is preferred.
