Position Overview:

The Carpenter/Foreman plays a crucial role, combining hands-on carpentry skills with leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will possess a wealth of carpentry experience, a deep understanding of construction methodologies, and demonstrated leadership capabilities. This role demands exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Carpentry Duties:

  • Execute a variety of carpentry tasks, such as framing, door and window installation, cabinetry, trim work, drywall, and other finishing elements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure precise and efficient completion of carpentry assignments.
  • Guarantee that all carpentry work adheres to Rivers Edge Partners, LLC's quality benchmarks and complies with relevant building codes and safety standards.

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Oversee and guide a team of carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion of all tasks.
  • Organize daily work schedules, delegate tasks, and provide mentorship and support to team members.
  • Evaluate progress, inspect work quality, and offer constructive feedback to enhance team performance.

Project Coordination:

  • Assist in the planning and scheduling of project timelines, ensuring the availability of resources and materials as needed.
  • Engage with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to relay updates on project progress and address any arising issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including timesheets, material usage, and project documentation.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Champion and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to foster a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Promptly address any safety concerns or violations, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of carpentry experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or foreman capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Proven track record of managing construction projects from inception to completion.

Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in the use of carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Certifications:

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (preferred).
  • Carpentry trade certification or equivalent (preferred).

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
