Construction Carpenter Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Carpenter/Foreman role encompasses both advanced carpentry duties and leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will possess significant carpentry experience, a comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, and demonstrated leadership skills. This position demands strong communication abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to juggle multiple responsibilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:Carpentry Duties:
- Execute a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, door and window installation, cabinetry, trim work, drywall, and finishing touches.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure precise and efficient project completion.
- Guarantee that all carpentry work adheres to Rivers Edge Partners, LLC's quality benchmarks and complies with local building codes and safety standards.
Leadership and Supervision:
- Oversee and guide a team of carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors, ensuring timely and budget-compliant task completion.
- Organize daily work schedules, delegate tasks, and provide necessary support and direction to team members.
- Monitor project progress, assess work quality, and offer constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
Project Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of project timelines, ensuring resource and material availability.
- Engage with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of work completed, including timesheets, material usage, and project documentation.
Safety and Compliance:
- Champion strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on-site.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to foster a secure working environment.
- Promptly address safety issues or violations, implementing corrective measures as needed.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of carpentry experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or foreman capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Proven track record of managing construction projects from inception to completion.
Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficient in the use of carpentry tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Certifications:
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (preferred).
- Carpentry trade certification or equivalent (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
