Position Overview:

The Web Content Manager is accountable for overseeing and optimizing the digital presence of McLaren USA across its internet and intranet platforms, aligning with the corporate vision. This role ensures that the content, aesthetics, and functionality of the websites are in harmony with the organization's strategic objectives. The manager safeguards the accuracy, integrity, and security of all corporate web assets while serving as the primary contact for website vendors, users, and IT personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaboratively formulates long-term strategies for corporate internet and intranet platforms to align with overarching business goals.
  2. Engages in research to identify innovative ideas and web technologies that are driven by strategic objectives, market relevance, user requirements, and best practices in web development.
  3. Coordinates with marketing, public relations, IT, content providers, vendors, compliance teams, and end users to manage and enhance content and functionality across McLaren USA and its subsidiaries. This includes training and overseeing other web content managers at subsidiary locations and phasing out outdated technologies as necessary.
  4. As corporate web strategies evolve, supervises the transition and integration of new subsidiary or service line websites, intranet, and patient portals. This involves assessing current functionalities, analyzing competitor websites, engaging target audiences, and providing recommendations on design, functionality, training, and implementation while adhering to budgetary constraints and timelines.
  5. Maintains high production standards for web content. Promotes adherence to professional standards among team members and departments, ensuring that web communications consistently meet established quality, compliance, and stylistic guidelines.
  6. Acts as a liaison between content management system vendors, users, and IT support teams.
  7. Contributes to the preparation of the digital budget and operates within the defined financial parameters.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and experience in the web domain.
  • A minimum of three years of proven experience in coordinating website design and maintenance.
  • At least three years of experience in project management.
Preferred:
  • Familiarity with various web design coding languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, etc.). Proficiency in software applications such as Word, Excel, Photoshop, and PowerPoint.
