Job Description:
The Security Operations Specialist (SOS) II is primarily responsible for delivering comprehensive security assistance to a client's facility and organization.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Conducting classification assessments of incoming and outgoing communications.
2. Aiding in the upkeep of a document accountability database and related correspondence.
3. Managing the processing of classified mail and maintaining receipt records.
4. Executing the destruction of classified materials.
5. Overseeing magnetic media for accountability.
6. Providing reproduction support for classified documents.
7. Maintaining various daily logs for administrative functions related to document control.
8. Assisting in the processing of data transfers for inbound and outbound files.
9. Facilitating the transfer of electronic data files to internal stakeholders.
10. Keeping an extensive database of customer points of contact.
11. Supporting the research, processing, filing, and management of inbound and outbound visit notifications.
12. Escorting facility visitors and maintaining associated logs.
13. Aiding in the preparation of facility access control badges.
14. Conducting entry and exit inspections.
15. Assisting in the management of facility access control systems, including visitor control.
16. Performing data entry into the Personnel Access Security System database and maintaining all customer-sponsored billets and quota information.
17. Assisting in maintaining personnel security files for all personnel within the supported unit.
18. Adhering to and enforcing the client's Standard Operating Procedures.
19. Supporting security awareness and educational initiatives.
20. Performing miscellaneous administrative tasks as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative.
Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience
SAP experience
required
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
Education Experience Equivalents:
Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.
Security Clearance:
TS/SCI, must be able to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph.
Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
Desired Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of Operations Security and Physical Security.
Experience in assisting and guiding the interpretation of security classification guides, classification, and declassification decisions.
Experience assisting with SCIF operations and construction.
