Job Description

BryceTech is seeking a highly skilled Flight Software SME to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to our clients in the development and testing of flight software systems for space vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain flight software systems for space vehicles, including guidance, navigation, and control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test flight software systems.
  • Provide technical expertise to clients on flight software systems, including software use cases, test plans, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Work with spacecraft vendors to develop flight software systems that meet quality performance standards.
  • Participate in Agile development processes and coordinate with modeling and simulation teams to assess impacts to the architecture.
Requirements
  • Domain knowledge of flight software systems (guidance, navigation, control, etc.)
  • Expertise in space vehicle and flight hardware software components
  • Experience creating software use cases via systems engineering best practices
  • Experience writing flight software test plans
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices
  • A bachelor's of science/STEM degree from an accredited college or university is required
  • Minimum fifteen years' recent and relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in science, technology, engineering and math
  • Desired Years of Experience: 15+ with cloud infrastructure, software application, and design
  • SME expertise in satellite flight software
  • Current experience with space systems
