About the Role:
As a Lead Instructor, you will guide students aged 8-14 through innovative courses in coding, digital arts, game development, and more. This role is ideal for those who are enthusiastic about technology and enjoy working with young learners.
- Seasonal Engagement: This is a summer position lasting between 4 to 10 weeks.
- Training Provided: Comprehensive training will be offered to ensure you are well-prepared.
- Experience Not Mandatory: While prior teaching experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement.
- Interactive Learning: Spend your summer inspiring students through hands-on technology projects.
Key Qualifications:
- Must have reliable transportation and be located within a reasonable distance of our partner regions.
- Experience with children in educational contexts is preferred but not essential.
- Strong skills in technology-related fields such as coding, game design, or digital media are advantageous.
- Availability for online training prior to the summer program is required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Commitment to a minimum of 4 weeks of work is necessary.
- A genuine passion for working with children is essential.
Instructor Requirements:
- Applicants should be at least 21 years old.
- A degree in education, digital arts, computer science, or related fields is preferred.
- Experience with children in any capacity is beneficial.
- Ability to manage a classroom of up to 13 students independently or 25 with assistance.
- Compensation ranges from $20 to $30 per hour based on experience and availability.
- Opportunities for advancement into supervisory roles may be available in future seasons.
- Ability to handle and transport equipment as needed for various classes.
