About the Role

Denver Springs is a leading behavioral health hospital seeking a highly skilled Inpatient Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our Assessment Specialist/Intake team, you will play a vital role in providing psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients suffering from psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Psychotherapy and Counseling Therapies: Deliver group, individual, and family therapy sessions to patients, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient progress.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff members to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Communicate Effectively: Actively communicate with clients, families, and outside referral sources, adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines.
  • Treatment Planning and Progression: Develop and revise treatment plans to achieve patient goals, accurately documenting progress and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Discharge Planning: Create thorough discharge plans, ensuring patients receive necessary paperwork and support for a smooth transition to aftercare.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling: Possess a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling, or relevant licensure in the state of practice.
  • CPR and CPI Certification: Obtain CPR and CPI certification within 30 days of employment and prior to patient contact.
  • Experience with Psychiatric and Chemical Dependency Patients: Possess prior work experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
