Cardiac Progressive Care Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse Cardiac Progressive Care position at Las Palmas Medical Center is a critical role that requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, including monitoring and managing vital signs, administering medications, and performing various medical procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical examinations, laboratory results, and medical imaging studies, to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and address any concerns or questions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, reduce medical errors, and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
- RN licensed in the State of Texas or Compact.
- BCLS certified.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Associates Degree or BSN.
- Critical Care Background.
- Dysrhythmia Recognition.
- Proficiency in EKG.
- Medical nursing unit experience.
- Knowledge of body substance isolation.
- Ability to move in excess of 100 pounds with assistance from others.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency.
