Registered Nurse Cardiac Progressive Care Specialist

The Registered Nurse Cardiac Progressive Care position at Las Palmas Medical Center is a critical role that requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, including monitoring and managing vital signs, administering medications, and performing various medical procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions and address any concerns or questions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction, safety, and outcomes, and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in patient care.
- RN licensed in the State of Texas or Compact.
- BCLS certified.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Associates Degree or BSN.
- Critical Care Background.
- Dysrhythmia Recognition.
- Proficiency in EKG.
- Medical nursing unit experience.
- Knowledge of body substance isolation.
- Ability to move in excess of 100 pounds with assistance from others.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency.
