Position Overview:

The US Oncology Network is dedicated to providing localized cancer treatment, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care in their communities. As part of this commitment, we are seeking a Full-time Radiation Therapist to contribute to our mission. New graduates are encouraged to apply. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is available.


Compensation:
$50-$70 per hour

Role Scope:
Under the guidance of a radiation oncologist, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering radiation therapy treatments to patients. Precision in aligning the radiation beam with the targeted tumor area and delivering the prescribed dosage is crucial to this role. Compliance with the US Oncology Compliance Program, including adherence to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Deliver and document radiation therapy treatments accurately under the supervision of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
  • Maintain and input patient treatment data into the electronic medical record system.
  • Assist in the clinical training of newly hired therapists and students.
  • Support the scheduling of patient appointments and ensure accurate billing submissions.
  • Prepare custom molds and cut blocks as required.
  • Perform basic mu calculations accurately.
  • Interpret computerized treatment plans effectively.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized working environment.

Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy technology program is mandatory. ARRT certification is required, along with a valid state license for radiation therapy.

Radiation Therapist I:
0-3 years of experience as a practicing RTT is required.

Radiation Therapist II:
3-5 years of experience as a practicing RTT is required.

Senior Radiation Therapist:
5+ years of experience as a practicing RTT is required.

Applicants will be assigned to the appropriate title based on their qualifications and relevant experience.
